I made this for my 19th birthday the other day. The Nine was made on Illustrator with a combination of the circle, blend tool & some very nice gradients. Then i transferred it over into Photoshop ,the "TEEN" was made with a layer mask & that how i was able to make a 3d effect. I still need to work on the document size a bit more to where it looks HD, so any tips will gladly appreciated.
